Bangladeshis in Abu Dhabi mark National Mourning Day

Abu Dhabi: Bangladeshi expatriates commemorated National Mourning Day on Sunday with a ceremony at the Bangladeshi embassy in Abu Dhabi. 

Mohammad Shahid Bakthiar Alam, the Charge d’ Affairs at the Bangladeshi Embassy in Abu Dhabi, lowered the national flag to half mast in memory of the father of the Bengali nation, Shaikh Mujib Rahman.

The embassy official and other members of the community also laid floral tributes on a picture of the former leader.

They then conducted an official discussion about his contribution to the nation. A movie about the leader was also shown.
