Dubai: A group of artists from a Dubai-based studio for the determined ones created live graffiti on a Ramadan sharing fridges located at the Steigenberger Hotel Business Bay.

The hotel, which has held a Ramadan sharing fridge for the second consecutive year under the theme ‘think globally, act locally’, aims to benefit the neighbouring communities.

Mawaheb from Beautiful People, studio for adults with special needs, has the graffiti of their German artist Vincent Bauer on display at Brothaus Bakery-Bistro. This Ramadan, Vincent Bauer and Nazeer Ali, along with their mentor Alan Mongrey from Mawaheb have created a live graffiti on the sharing fridges. The initiative aims at promoting inclusion, encouraging community service and celebrate the spirit of Ramadan.

The hotel is asking for the fridge to be stocked with drinking water, juices, laban, and milk along with fresh fruits and healthy snacks. The fridges are available for those in need to pick up a refreshing drink or snack when they end their fast.

The message from the team is simple — come past and stock it up, said Stephen Meredith, general manager. “Small acts of kindness go a long way to create positive change. Like the ‘butterfly effect’, no matter how small our actions are, they all end up playing a role in determining the quality of life we live,” he added.
