ABU DHABI: The National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) has warned residents of very high temperatures, peaking at between 45 and 47 degree Celsius across the country.

In its forecast until 8am on Saturday, NCMS says it will be partly cloudy and hazy at times over some areas, with clouds forming over the eastern mountains by the afternoon. The relative humidity is likely to increase during the night and early Saturday morning over some coastal western areas with a probability of mist formation.

In the next 48 hours, light to moderate winds in general may freshen at times during the daytime over some exposed areas.

Winds will be south-easterly and north-easterly, 20-25kmph in general.

The Arabian Gulf will be slight to moderate, and the Sea of Oman moderate, becoming rough at times towards the north.
