Can I sublet my apartment to a friend travelling in for the Expo?

Subletting in the UAE is legal, as long as you have an approval from your landlord stating the same. In case this clause hasn’t been mentioned in your contract prior to your request, then you will need to obtain a written approval from your landlord before you sublet. Failure to meet these terms will result in your landlord demanding an eviction.
