YouTube video prankster’s car impounded

Dubai The man driving the car used in a video in which a famous YouTube prankster was playing a prank on his mother has been identified by Dubai Police.

Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Dubai Traffic Police, said they impounded the man’s car.

The video, posted on YouTube with over four million views, involved two cars, one performing the stunts and another filming in a deserted area. The number plates were covered.

The video shows a well-known American YouTube prankster saying he’ll take his mother for “a traditional dinner in the desert” in Dubai.

He then tells his mother to get into a car along with his three friends, who are dressed in traditional clothes. The driver then performs stunts, driving the car on two wheels, while his mother screams and begs her son to stop.

“The video was recorded somewhere outside Dubai, and we will contact the relevant authority to take action,” said Col. Al Mazroui.

He said the department took action as soon as the video went viral to find the people involved.

The driver’s father was very cooperative and came to the department and handed over the car used in the prank, Col Al Mazroui said.

He apologized for his son’s actions and said that his son had done it as a prank and did not mean to disrespect the law, Col. Mazroui said.
