Jennifer Aniston has denied rumours about her pregnancy, in a blog for the Huffington Post. In the post she voiced concerns about the impact of the “objectification” that media puts women through. The 47-year-old pointed to herself as an example of the “absurd and disturbing” scrutiny women endure in society that reflects how a woman’s worth is calculated. She condemned the dehumanisation of women who are routinely presented as lacking or incomplete without a partner or child.

Shivani Joon: “She speaks the truth! ‪#‎JenniferAniston‬ for all the young girls and against the manipulative media, which is not reliable or trusted anymore, with all the blog and web driven media madness, nothing can escape exaggeration, distortion, and fabrication. One must be careful, as to what to believe and follow, before becoming into something, you are not supposed to be.‪#‎MediaMuddle”

Suzy Wilde: “Yes! Go Jennifer Aniston. As someone who is now getting the ‘so when are you going to have kids?’ questions (facepalm) I totally identify. There’s loads of really important points about the perception of women. It’s actually impossible for me to love Jennifer Aniston any more. #JenniferAniston‬#truth”

Anna Smith: “‘Maybe some day the tabloids will be forced to see the world through a different, more humanized lens because consumers have just stopped buying the bullshit’.ߑ?I can’t even begin to describe how happy I am that someone’s finally said it! We’re all part of the problem but we can be part of the solution too ‪#‎JenniferAniston”

Aistė Diržiūt: “Finally someone said it ! A ‪#‎mustread‬ for each and every boy and girl, man and woman from ‪#JenniferAniston! Thank You for using your voice! #iamcomplete”

Meli Melz: “Society puts so much pressure on women about marriage and/or having a family by a certain age it’s sickening. I can feel where she is coming from in a way because all I’m hearing often is ‘when are you getting married?’ or ‘having a baby’ as if those are things that I can just go into a store and purchase. Maybe right now I am having my “happily ever after” moment. Some things are not right for some people. But force feeding it into our minds is tiring and quite frankly unjust. Let us live our lives how we choose. Let us choose what we want to live ‘happily ever after’.

Kelsey Murphy-Bishop: “Thank you #JenniferAniston for being a beautiful role model for those of us that are thriving and HAPPY with, what was long considered, an alternative lifestyle.”

Jim Bessman: “#JenniferAniston is trending and for good reason. Excellent, empowering feminist essay.”
