As the world’s top nation leaders are gathered in Paris to discuss the climate change and work on taking major steps to improve the present condition, everybody has to realise that big meetings, gatherings and plans will not work without everyone’s cooperation. Each and every person is responsible for this climate change, thus it is everyone’s duty to protect Nature from all kinds of environmental threats.
We cannot bring about change in one day, rather it is long-term procedure, in which we all have to work hand in hand. Children, in particular, can play a small role on a daily basis to protect the environment.
One thing we have to keep in mind is the fact that the Earth that we are all living on is God’s greatest gift to human beings, so in return, we must give what it deserves. We don’t have to spend money to protect the environment, just a little time from our daily schedule to take small initiatives towards protecting Earth. To start with, we can start by preserving energy and not wasting water.
Our impact on the land that we live on, atmosphere and oceans has become global and is a cause for concern to everyone. We must consider the needs of our ecosystem, which we are a part of, and on which all living beings are dependent. Human beings take Earth for granted and have done so many experiments with the hope of gaining more resources, thus dumping waste and polluting land, oceans and the atmosphere. Meanwhile, we are still unable to provide adequate food and a reasonable quality of life to billions of living beings.
This is a societal issue and a global challenge, but each one of us has a personal responsibility in taking a stand for the sake of Nature.
