The above poll is based on the page A6 report, ‘Are you annoyed by bad neighbours?’, published in the Nation section of Gulf News on April 1.

Building etiquette and cleanliness can leave much to be desired as some residents leave corridors in a disrespectful mess. Residents complain about garbage, toys and furniture being left in the corridors and neighbours being overly loud.

Residents were requested to either get in touch with their landlord, the building security, the municipality or the police.

Gulf News asked readers online whether they get along well with their neighbours. If your consider these statistics as a village of 200 people, there are 59 people who don’t know each other. A large majority of 140 people like their neighbours or, at the very least, get along. Only one person out of 200 hates the people around them.

Therefore, the poll tells us that it is rare for a resident to hate their neighbour and that most people are able to live harmoniously and amicably.

Do you get along with your neighbours? How do you cope if there is an issue with them? Share your views and experiences with us on readers@gulfnews.com or on our Facebook page.
