People collaborate better when engagement is meticulous and simple in a company. Efficiency will increase when we encourage an innovative atmosphere and productivity will increase when we give authority and responsibility. I believe that with additional efforts, companies can add an extra flavour to the current system.

Retaining the best employees is important because people are the company’s biggest asset. If customers are kings, the employees are the queens. They play a major role in the overall growth of an organisation. The number of years in the system will definitely have an impact on an organisation’s improvements. An organisation will always have lots of passionate people. Pick those and give them the best dynamic role and emoluments to encourage them to push and innovate.

Allow for permission to speak up. Healthy communication is something that should be improved among peers. One of the ways I suggest is to make people understand they have full liberty to speak up. It will make a difference when the employees feel like they can be open and honest with co-workers, upper management and everyone else they interact with in the organisation. Giving employees opportunities to mingle, interact and build personal bonds with other co-workers will have an impact.

Share knowledge and encourage ideas. A cutting-edge business has staff who know and understand what’s happening in other areas. All people are well equipped to generate ideas. Someone may have an idea that could also benefit another department. We should create a platform for capturing ideas. This will help in understanding the actual work area of an employee where his calibre can be better utilised.

Avoidable rules and unwieldy procedures and policies are certainly hindering people and preventing them from doing their most productive work. Companies should give some flexibility in framing their own agenda. People can be given more authority within their functional areas, such as eliminating some approval steps to deal with day-to-day issues.

Simple steps and improvements in management procedures will enhance a company’s prospects and make them a more attractive place for career-driven and passionate employees.
