Paul Pogba has been welcomed back to the Manchester United club that he left in 2012. Manchester United’s official Twitter and Facebook accounts announced the world-record £110m transfer with the hashtag #Pogback.

Manchester United: “Home. #POGBACK”

Shamsheer ElNino: “Pogba is back with United. In my opinion, 100 plus million is the money that you spend on players who can change the game single handedly, consistently throughout the season. And there are only two of that kind in this world. Pogba is definitely not in that category at the moment but he is indeed going to improve United as a team. A global franchise like United is definitely going to make a lot of profit from this deal. But only time will tell whether Pogba can have enough influence for them on the football pitch.

However, even in this inflated market, it’s a ridiculous amount of money to spend, to be honest.‪#Pogback.”

Patrick Milo: “Juventus laughing all the way to the bank .... Anyone who actually watches Serie A knows Marchisio is Juve’s best midfielder. Sell Pogba and buy Higuaín, Pjaca, Pjanic, Benatia and Dani Alves... Amazing business by Juve.”

Ciro Vargas: “Manchester united is the one company that sells a player parameter ZERO and after four years it regains paying for 110 MILLION.”

Joe Howard: “I am a die-hard United fan but I have to say I have never seen Pogba have a decent game. We could have easily bought some high quality defenders with the money we have spent on him.”

Mohamed Dahir: “Manchester united are a wasteful club they don’t know where to spend their money, paying 120m for a player whom you release just 5years ago ...!”

Adrian Silva: “The most over-rated player in the world.

€120M for Pogba? You can get Messi with that money.

Pogba worth like €60 or so. This is stupid, united, first let him go for free and pay 120 million...”

Ferhat Koba Han: “Is he ‘over-rated’ because he’s joining Utd? Ronaldo was over rated at Utd but world class at Madrid. Funny that.”

Jonathan Yin: “The thing is, the market shifted and the value went up for players. Also, I am sure Messi is much cheaper than what we paid, for Pogba. But, do you really think Barcelona would sell him? Don’t forget although Pogba is overpriced, he’s still 23, a healthy young age.”

Anup Baria: “The trainers you wear probably cost the company less than a quarter of what you paid... but you still bought them... they’ll never sell it to you for what they are worth, but if you really want them then you have no choice but to pay triple the amount. Guessing you’re a Madrid fan, you paid us £80m for Ronaldo in 2009... even your ex-president Calderon thought that deal was crazy.”

Adrian Silva If he was worth the money Barcelona had already signed him up lol.

Scott Ell: “He’s been class for Juventus the last four years and they’re one of the best teams out in the world right now... Adrian Silva, we don’t think he’s the ‘next Messi’, we are just happy we have signed a class player in Pogba who’s still only 23, with lots of potential.” ߘ?

Nigel Reid: “This moment is the best feeling for true United fans. We’ve always thought that Pogba was the mistake that should have never happened, now he’s home. Best feeling I’ve had about United in a while. For people stressing about a club worth 4b spending 100m on our own. It’s ok. We sent him to a top university that made him world class and we took care of his tuition.”

Kweku Boham: “We make a lot of money out of commercial deals yearly. What should we spend it on? Pizza for the boys? By the way, it’s not our money... We are Man Utd and need to go for the best. Welcome back Pogba!”

Aj Beck: “Happy days. I’m glad to see Pogba back. Last season we had the best defence in the league. We dominated the possessing but we just didn’t score the goals. Hopefully this season with Zlatan and Pogba that’s gonna change big time.”
