Women face many challenges in society. I read reports of harassment of women and wonder where have they reached now? Since women are equally contributing to make a better family life, the continuous suffering of women is a shame for our society. Their role and achievement over the years make us think of the importance of their contributions towards taking care of families and children. Yet, I feel that women haven’t been able to reach the heights they should be at. I wonder, why should they always be restricted from getting equal rights as men?

Although there seems to be an increase in female literacy rates, family related problems are hindering their growth. This definitely needs to change, they should be appreciated. There has been a rise in the number of women joining the workforce where usually the male gender used to work. This points to the fact that they are capable in handling such tasks, provided someone believes in them and entrusts such roles upon them. However, in some parts of the developing world, illiteracy is still a hindrance for women to participate in critical decision making later in life. It could in turn even affect their children’s education and lead to family problems.
World governments need to make women’s education one of the top priorities. This can help them take care of their family and guide their children better to create a better future.

Let’s always fight for women’s rights and help them improve their level of knowledge. It is our duty to educate the underprivileged and give the rights they deserve.
