Biased reporting

I have been following the Gulf News’ app for a long time now and it makes me very agitated when I see all the news from an Indian perspective and about every small Indian happening, but nothing about Pakistan. Also, cricket matches are happening in the UAE between Pakistan and the West Indies and the Sports column isn’t issuing a single detail or report about it! That’s very irritating.

I hope that Gulf News understands my point of view and looks into the matter.

Gulf News covers events from all over the world, including India and Pakistan. As the leading newspaper in the region, we offer balanced coverage without bias towards any country. Sometimes, the nature of news might make it seem like we are reporting about a particular place more than others. However, this is not the case. We have separate pages in print for both India and Pakistan to cover the events happening there.

With reference to the cricket coverage, within five minutes after the finish of the matches, both One Day Internationals between Pakistan and West Indies were reported. Extensive coverage including exclusive interviews can be found on our website www.gulfnews.com. However, due to a technical issue, some of the reports were not immediately visible online. But, the matter has been resolved.
