Nearly 2,000 fans reportedly lined up the road outside Lahore airport with flowers in their hands waiting anxiously to welcome him. Such was the adulation for Emraan Hashmi when he crossed over to Pakistan to promote his mega-blockbuster Jannat last month. But it was not the attention of the fans that caught the ‘serial smoocher's eye, it was the beauty of the ‘Lahori girls'.

Bhutto's niece

If things go according to plans, Emraan may have a prominent Pakistani as his leading lady. Ahsan Hyder's forthcoming movie titled Breaking Free has none other than slain former Pakistan Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto's niece Fatima Bhutto as the movie's heroine.

"Yes," confirmed Emraan. "The deal in nearly finalised and we're hopeful of having Fatima in our movie," said the actor who was in Dubai last week for a performance at It's Mirchi night club.

Striking resemblance

Fatima was chosen for the role as she has a striking resemblance to Benazir. "I can't reveal much about the plot, but the story is going to be topical with the commercial aspects of a Bollywood flick," he said.

The story may have an Indo-Pak element, but that will not be the main focus. "The story will deal with a lot of issues of the Muslim world. It will have a broad, international appeal. Once completed, we plan on entering Breaking Free in film festivals around the world."
