The Art and Talent Centre at Dubai Ladies Club organised a group exhibition ‘Be Creative', featuring local and international artists from the UAE, Europe, USA, Iran, India and Lebanon. The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr Salah Al Qassim, Secretary General Of Dubai Cultural Council.

Noora Alrostamani, CEO of Dubai Ladies Club, said: “The purpose of art is to inspire, enrich and occasionally, to perplex people. The philosophy behind the initiation of the group exhibition is to discover and promote creative talent from around the world in Dubai.

“The event will encourage artists to showcase their works to a global audience. It will also broaden their horizons and provide them with a rich learning opportunity through interaction with artists from diverse cultures and unique backgrounds.''

The group exhibition will draw the participation of Her Highness Sheikha Fatma Bint Saqr Al Qassimi and Jamila Rashid from the UAE, Alexandra Mucalov from Serbia, April Tosch Jamjoom from the US, Farzaneh Shomali and Intissar Karameh Ayache from Iran and Iranian-American Gita Khabashi.

The works of French artists Nabila Khoory and Yasmina Kici Khattar, Poonam Kurdekar of Indian nationality, Scott Hopkins from the US, Toma Gabor from Romania, and Wael Hamadeh of Lebanese origin will also be featured at the exhibition which runs until January 30, 2008.

In its endeavour to help women contribute effectively to the society, Dubai Ladies Club offers a packed calendar of activities throughout the year, including dedicated exhibitions, special events and programmes.
