Want a day in paradise? Singer Andrew James, known for his Phil Collins tribute act, is not promising it but he could come close as her performs some of the pop star’s biggest hits at the Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai on March 27.
James, with more than 20 year’s showbiz experience, will cover Collins’ greatest hits from the ‘80s and ‘90s including In The Air Tonight, Sussudio, Against All The Odds and Another Day in Paradise, plus some of his massive hits with his band Genesis.
“Those of us who grew up with Phil Collins will always relate to his lyrics, while others may have just enjoyed listening to him. However together we will all no doubt reminisce about the summer of 1985 when No Jacket Required was released and music went digital, you could actually buy albums on CD instead of an LP,” said Simon Moore, General manager, Millennium Airport Hotel Dubai.
The show will take place Al Fresco, on the hotel’s recently extended terrace. James will present a few excerpts of Collins’ humour as well as various costume changes, to suit the mood, said organisers.
Entry is free, but seating is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Barbeque packages start from Dh250 per person with selected house beverages. Show begins 8.30pm. To book your place, call 04-7028833.
