Muscat: Switchblade skippered by Simon Reeves won the 580-km Dubai to Muscat boat race in three days and five hours last week, finishing just minutes ahead of Shahrazad after an exciting tacking duel in the closing stretch.
Of the 15 boats that set sail from Dubai Offshore Sailing Club on March 8 in this 26th edition of the event, only eight reached the finish line at Marina Bandar Al Rowdha by March 13. The other seven retired for various reasons.
