Ajman. The Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Quetta Gladiators-sponsored domestic tournament completed the first edition successfully under the Ajman Cricket Council with One Stop Tourism emerging as the champions. The Royal Cricket League is the first tournament to be backed by a PSL team though Pakistan Cricket Board regularly stages the PSL in the UAE.

One Stop Tourism won the toss and elected to bowl. Multiplex batsmen failed to get a good start against the One Stop bowling and could muster only 128 runs.

Except for Mohammad Yasir, who top scored with 35 runs off 27 balls none of the other Multiplex batsmen could rise the challenge. Umair Ali Khan, Mohammad Azhar, and Rohan Mustafa took 2 wickets each.

The total was an easy one especially for One Stop’s strong batting line-up. They chased the target in just 9.4 overs with the loss of only one wicket. UAE skipper Rohan Mustafa and Hafiz Kaleem scored quick half-centuries. Mustafa bagged the man of the match title and also received the winners trophy from Kamal Hussain of Ibson and Adil Mirza of One Stop Tourism.

Best player of the tournament award went to Fayyaz Ahmad of Alubond Tigers. He had scored 170 runs and took seven wickets. Akhlaq Butt of Multiplex was declared the best batsman and Umair Ali Khan of One Stop won the best bowler award. This tournament was also supported by Fecto, Taj Marquee, Hemani, Armaf perfumes and ZMA General Trading.

Meanwhile, in the 18th annual Ramada Gulf Cup at the MCC Ground in Ajman, Victoria routed Centre of Excellence in the under-13 team contest. In another match Young Champion beat Metro by seven wickets, while Metro beat CSE by seven wickets in under-17 contest.

This event for Academies, Colleges and Universities is organised by Young Talent Cricket Academy (YTCA).

Centre of Excellence, batting first, posted 72 runs in 20 overs. S. Aditya scored 42 with five boundaries which lasted 64 balls. Victoria Cricket Academy reached the target not losing any wicket. Ayan Khan cracked an unbeaten 32 while S. Abdullah scored an unconquered 25.
