Dubai: Ocean Fair International (OFI) Club defeated Pulse Secure team by 46 runs to lift the first Ocean Fair International Cricket Cup at the Ocean Fair Sports Club Ground in Dubai Investment Park.

Batting first, OFI Club got off to a very slow start, due to tight bowling from UAE pacer Fahad Al Hashmi, who took a wicket of the first ball, and spinners Waseem Ahmed and Abdul Rahman, who took two wickets each giving away only 10 runs each. However, some aggressive knocks from Rizwan Khan, who scored a quick 39 off just 17 balls, and Mohammed Ilyas, 25 off 17 balls, helped OFI post a competitive total of 152 in 20 overs.

Chasing the target, Pulse Secure were not able to meet the required run rate, mainly due some steady bowling from man of the match Shafaqat Ali, who took three wickets for only 17 runs, and Richi Yaqoob, who bagged 3 for 26.

Adnaan Khan hit a quick 26 and Fahad Tariq tried to keep Pulse in the chase with a steady 35, but were not able to take the team across the finish line, falling short by 46 runs.
