Dubai: Team DBMSC (Dubai Building Material Supply Company) Steel recorded their fourth consecutive title triumph in indoor cricket to stamp their authority as a formidable team. They won the Gold division title in the Sprite Winter Cup at the ICC Academy, beating Knight Riders by 27 runs.

DBMSC once again displayed their might as a formidable batting power when they posted 54 runs in the allotted eight overs losing just one wicket. The team’s inspiring captain Saqib Nazir and UAE national team player Vikrant Shetty played attacking cricket to score 21 runs from two overs. The last pair of Rohan Mustafa and S. Kumara helped boost the total.

Chasing the challenging target, the Knight Riders team could muster only 27 runs. DBMSC vice-captain Rohan Nayak bowled a brilliant over in the finals to bag two wickets to help the team take a firm grip on the match. Rohan was adjudged the Man of the Match for his allround performance.

Speaking to Gulf News after the win, DBMSC team manager Amit Chaturvedi said: “This is the fourth consecutive championship for DBMSC at the ICC Academy in as many months and shows our might as a team. Our players deserve all the accolades for their brilliant performance over a consistent period of time. It has been a very fruitful year for us and we hope to continue dominating indoor cricket for a long time to come. Credit has to be given to the team owners M. Nilesh and Sumeet Shewakramani for persisting with the team and supporting them in all possible ways to come to this point. We would like to keep extending our winning run.”
