Dubai: Dubai Building Material Supply Company (DBMSC) Steel team have built up their team into a formidable one in indoor cricket. They emerged as the champions in the prestigious ICC Academy Sprite Summer Indoor Cup Gold Division defeating Sky Bridge Freight Solutions (SFS). DBMSC had recorded a clean sweep of the Ramadan tournaments and has extended their unbeaten run in indoor cricket.
In the Gold division finals, which was a best of three games affair, DBMSC Steel won the first two finals convincingly and were declared the champions. In the first final, DBMSC posted 86 runs in their allotted 12 over’s. SFS could only manage 49 runs from their allotted 12 over’s.
Saqib Nazir was declared the man of the match for the first finals.
In the second final, DBMSC Steel won the toss and 93 runs from the allotted 12 over’s. SFS crumbled under some tight bowling and good fielding and could muster only 45 runs. Aaqib Malik was the man of the match for the second finals for his excellent all round display. For his consisting performances throughout the tournament captain of DBMSC Saqib Nazir was adjudged the man of the series.
Speaking about the winning run of the team, DBMSC manager said: Our team has won four A division Trophies this year and have been runners up on couple of occasions. Our boys have really work hard and the result is showing through the trophies that we have been winning recently.”
