Dubai A six-wicket spell in the One Stop Tourism 43rd Bukhatir Premier League and an unbeaten 93 in the Al Dhaid Invitation T20 Tournament were the highlights of Sharjah Cricket Council tournaments.

Aftab Azwar, who bagged six wickets for 32 ensured Multiplex International posted an impressive 104 runs win over Bukhatir XI in the Bukhatir League.

Johar Hussain cracked 93 runs to help Eids Cricket Club chase Taha Club’s impressive total of 208 for six and win the match by six wickets in the Al Dhaid tournament.

Azwar’s spell stopped Bukhatir XI which has been consistently winning matches.

Multiplex International had posted a mammoth total of 303 for nine in 50 overs through Abdul Shakoor’s 95 runs from 100 balls that had eight boundaries and three sixes while Saleem A Raheem chipped in with 43 runs.

Bukhatir XI’s chase was badly hit when opener Khalid Shah fell early.

Jaffar Jamal and Rameez Shahzad rebuilt the innings. Jamal hit 31 runs before becoming Azwar’s victim.

Shahzad went on to hit 58 runs from 73 balls with two boundaries and three sixers while Vishnu Sukumaran chipped in with 34 runs.

Azwar then ran through the tail and took six wickets in 8.5 overs giving away 32 runs to bowl out Bukhatir XI for 199.

In Al Dhaid, Taha Club posted over 200 runs thanks to Adnan Habib’s unbeaten 40.

Eids reached the target in 14.4 overs through Hussain’s 93 which came off only 34 balls and consisted of six fours and eight sixes.
