Dubai: Adnan-Ul Mulk produced a superb allround show in Ocean Fair International Cup as the League of Mammoths tournament witnessed a number of close finishes in their matches.

Adnan hit 49 runs to help Metal Plast post a challenging total of 192 in a Twenty20 format match. He then went on to take three wickets and give his team a 29-run win over Warriors.

In the League of Mammoths, Jumeirah Mammoths defeated Nad Al Sheba (NAS) Mammoths by one run and in another match, went on to beat Zabeel Mammoths by one wicket. Against Nad Al Sheba, Jumeriah posted 194 runs through Shajil Balan, who is gearing up for the oncoming Kerala Veterans League, by top scoring with 45 runs and Sheldon D’Cruz chipping in with 34 runs. Ambey Parwatkar’s three wickets spell for 18 runs and Deepak Patel’s 2 for 24 stopped NAS at 193 for 9 in 25 overs.

In Jumeirah’s one-wicket win over Zabeel, Sheldon hit 59 runs along with Sujit Salian’s 51 runs and reached the target off the last ball. Zabeel were restricted to 197 for seven, thanks to a spell of four for 25 by Bobby Suri, UAE opener Chirag’s Suri’s father.
