Dubai: Newly formed 7cs Group emerged as the champions of the G Force Summer T20 Cup at the Zabeel Park cricket ground last week.
In the final, they defeated G Force by 14 runs through a well fought final. G Force Cricket Academy had organised this tournament to announce the start of the summer.
Batting first, 7cs posted 133 for 8 in 20 overs despite Satya Ramesh’s fine spell of 4 for 22. Anil Sharma top scored for 7cs with 33 runs well backed by Mahesh Dhapa with 27 runs and Ravid Khan’s 24 runs.
G Force chased confidently through Rishi Ramchandani scoring 37 runs.
Right-arm pacer Nawab-ud-din bowling a good pace took three crucial wickets to put the breaks on G Force. Anil Sharma and Wasi Haider bowled some tight overs. G Force in the end could muster only 119 for 9.
Speaking after the win, Suresh Kumar Alanghat, the representative of the 7cs Group company, who gave away the prizes as chief guest, said: “We have won this tournament through excellent team work. Nawab-ud-din bowled a good line and length to check the run flow and ensure the victory.
