Dubai: More than 250 swimming enthusiasts, both children and adults, came together to compete in the Jenan Swimming Gala which was held at the Al Naadi Sports Centre in Dubai.

The top finishers at the marathon Paul Hage, Oh Jun Kweon and Chinami Kadoi bagged individual championship awards and were given iPads, iPods and iPhones for their efforts.

Trophies and awards were also presented to the best swimmer in the male and female categories respectively. Gift vouchers were awarded to all participants.

Family event

"It was simply spectacular to see UAE's multi-cultural community join together to actively compete in the swimming competition together with their family and friends," Mohammad Eisa Al Gurair, one of the sponsors, said.

"This is the time to swim, enjoy the wonderful sunshine and be active and what better way to do it than through a fun-filled activity."

"We want to encourage families to go out with their children and seek an active and healthy lifestyle. Events like this help demonstrate that we have a responsibility towards the wellbeing of our community."

The Jenan Swimming Gala has been organised for the past three years with the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle for the whole family.
