Dubai: The Local Organising Committee of the 10th Fina World Swimming Championships (25m) and Dubai Sports Council have announced two key appointments for the championships, which will take place in Dubai from December 15-19.

Jumbo Grandi Eventi will take care of the accommodation needs while Promoseven Sports Marketing will be managing the event locally.

An Italian company, Jumbo Grandi Eventi originated in Rome in 2000 and have vast experience, having worked on the Winter Olympics, the Americas Cup and the 13th Fina World Championships in Rome 2009.

That event saw Jumbo Grandi Eventi operating as accommodation provider and official organiser of the Roma09 Village, with more than 20,000 square meters of space prepared for 500,000 visitors.

Meanwhile, Promoseven Sports Marketing, will be managing the sponsorship, marketing, advertising and promotion of the event locally.

The Dubai-based company was involved in the city's bid to host the 10th Fina World Swimming Championships (25m) and boasts an exceptional record of managing international sporting events in the Middle East and beyond.

Promoseven Sports is the joint marketing agency for the Asian Games, having worked on the promotion of the Doha and upcoming Guangzhou Games as well as acting as advertising agents for the Olympic Council of Asia.

Other major events include the Rugby World Cup Sevens, the annual Barclays Dubai Tennis Championships, and the hugely popular Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens.
