More than 800 competitors attend RAK Dragon Boat Regatta in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah; Craft Steel Craft, Dubai Padel Club, Emirates Steel and Atlantis took the main honours in the four categories at the end of the RAK Dragon Boat Regatta held in Ras Al Khaimah over the weekend.

Steel Craft bagged the top spot in the Women’s small boat category over 500 metres, the Dubai Paddle Club won the Mixed small boat division over 500 metres, Emirates Steel won the Corporate Open Standard boats class and Atlantis triumphed in the Open small boat category.

More than 870 participants from 30 participating teams from across Middle East took part in this second edition of the annual event that was held RAK International Marine Club, Ras Al Khaimah.

The event was graced by His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of RAK along with Shaikh Khalid Bin Zayed Bin Saqr Al Nahyan, Chairman, UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation.

Paul Cortes, Consul General of the Philippines Consulate Office, Dubai also attended the event along with Jason Mackensie, UAE Dragon Boat Association Founder.
