Volleyball champs Al Nasr defeat Ajman to stay on top
Defending champions Al Nasr stayed on top of the volleyball first division league after defeating Ajman 3-0 (25-14, 25-20 and 25-20).
Dubai: Defending champions Al Nasr stayed on top of the volleyball first division league after defeating Ajman 3-0 (25-14, 25-20 and 25-20). Al Nasr raised their points tally to 37 in first place, while Ajman stayed eighth with 13 points.
Al Shabab - after beating Al Ittihad 3-1 - stay second with 37 points, the same as Al Nasr who are on top on sets difference.
Al Ain advanced to third place with 36 points after they defeated bottom club Al Rams 3-0 (25-9, 25-10 and 25-15).
Al Ahli are not far from the top, with three points separating them from first place. Al Ahli beat Al Wasl 3-1 (25-23, 25-21, 23-25 and 25-23). Al Ahli are fourth with 34 points.
The four teams, Al Nasr, Al Shabab, Al Ain and Al Ahli will fight hard to clinch the title with five matches left for each.
The other clubs are far off - Al Jazira 19 points, Al Wasl 18, Bani Yas 14, Ajman 13 and Al Ittihad 12 points.
