Dubai: James Bouchel of the United Kingdom consolidated his position in the overall standings in Pro Runabout GP class even as Emirati Nader Bin Hindi gamely kept up his chase for the top at the end of the fourth heat in the 2012 UAE Jet Ski Championship last weekend.

Bouchel added 53 points to his previous tally of 173 to take his total to 226 to top the overall standings in the class even as Japan's Toshi Ohara and Mohammad Mohsin Ali of the UAE kept up the pressure on the leader in second and third with 182 and 139 points.

Former national champion Bin Hindi, who missed the opening round in Dubai in the first week of January, has been improving since then as he lies in sixth overall with 109 points, thanks to a superb win in the second moto at the Umm Suqeim Beach last weekend.

In the Free Style, Japanese rider Jun Ikoma has caught up with the UAE's Khalid Salim Butti Al Qubaisi as both are at the top of the standings with 161 points apiece to stay ahead of the UAE's Ahmad Saeed Hatim with 147 points.

In the Expert Runabout Stock class, Khamis Subait Al Hosni is at the top with 211 points but being chased by Kuwait's Mohammad Jasem Al Baz (106 points) followed closely by the Qatari duo of Walid Mahmoud Al Sharshini (107) and Abdullah Ghulam Ali (103).

In the Expert Ski Limited, the UAE's Al Mur Mohammad Bin Huraiz further consolidated his position at the top with 211points as Japan's. Toshi Ohara kept up the chase with 200 followed by Hamdan Rashid Al Qubaisi with 182 points.

And in the Novice Runabout, it was Abdullah Ghulam Ali continuing at the top with 161pts as Nawaf Mohammad Al Farhan (143) stayed in second and Badar Yousuf Al Zaini was a distant third (112).

The Ski Junior class saw no changes in the top three with Mansour Rashid Al Qubaisi (214 points) leading Lahej Khalid Saif Al Ma'asam (197) and Burger Ryan (189) in the overall standings.

The fifth and penultimate heat of the UAE Jet Ski Championship is scheduled in Abu Dhabi on March 30 followed by the final round in Dubai in April.
