Dubai: The UAE national beach soccer team will participate in the Arab Beach Soccer Tournament, to be held in Hurghada, Egypt, from July 1-7.

The team will leave for Egypt on June 29. The Hurghada tournament will help the UAE side prepare for the World Cup finals, to be held in Marseille from July 17-27.

Badr Hareb, the UAE team manager, said the team have not stopped training since the end of the Asian qualifiers, held in Dubai last month.

The UAE had clinched the top place for the second successive year in the qualifiers.

"There are 16 players training under coach Marcelo. The squad will be reduced to 12 who will leave for Egypt and a training camp in Europe before the start of the World cup finals," Hareb said.
