Full fight card for Meydan Hotel event on April 8
Dubai: A lot more than honour and pride will be at stake when Omar Al Ali and Ahmad Hosni make their debut for the UAE at the Dubai International Arab Boxing Championships to be held at the Meydan Hotel on April 8.
Joining the two home-grown talents will be some of the best boxers from the region in five different title fights along with six classifying side card fights.
In over middleweight 64kgs category, Fikri Arkan of Turkey will take on Chasa Jonowick of Austria and in the lightweight 60kgs Rizian Tozayan of Russia will be up against Switzerland's Alexander.
Top contenders
In 75kgs middleweight, Loran Shas of Germany will take on Richard Johns of England and in the 78kgs semi-heavyweight class, Oodji Munda from Ivory Coast will take on Omar Saeed of Morocco and in the 64kgs middleweight category, Maria Rodriguez of Spain will be up against Denise Norhat of Turkey.
Tickets are priced between Dh50 and Dh150 and spectators are urged to purchase these in advance to avoid disappointment.
