Abu Dhabi: The Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club (GRPC) will once again stage Pink Polo, a charity polo exhibition event, on October 29 at the GRPC polo field.
Designed as a fun family day out, Pink Polo is open to the UAE community to enjoy a world-class polo exhibition game between ADCB polo team and Estée Lauder Companies Polo team.
High goal Argentinean players will join Emirati polo professionals in the match.
Breast cancer awareness
Launched in 2010, Pink Polo was founded by Carrie McNeill as a new way of increasing breast cancer awareness in the UAE and the event is organised in association with Health Authority — Abu Dhabi.
McNeill said, "Pink Polo started as a very small idea but has exploded to become one of the country's main breast cancer awareness events. We have had great support from both our patron Shaikh Falah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, government bodies and from our sponsors."
Saeed Bin Houfan Al Mansouri, Vice-Chairman, Ghantoot Polo Club, and Nasser Al Daheri, one of the UAE's leading Emirati polo star,s confirmed their support for the event.
