Shangri-La hold success in hotel bowling league for another year
The Shangri-La Hotel bowling team were crowned the new back-to-back champions at the end of the Hoteliers' Bowling League 2008 hosted by the Dubai International Bowling Centre, Al Mamzar.

Dubai: The Shangri-La Hotel bowling team were crowned the new back-to-back champions at the end of the Hoteliers' Bowling League 2008 hosted by the Dubai International Bowling Centre, Al Mamzar.
After 10 weeks of competition, the highly favoured Shangri-La Team thwarted strong challenges from other hotels and successfully defended their title earned during the initial edition of this inter-hotel bowling league last year.
The team was steered to victory by the formidable combination of Ashraf who also won the highest men's average prize, Ryan Hoo and Joey Victoria, with able support from Khalid, Vasken and their lady players, Herley and Leah.
Maiden
This year's top three results were an exact duplication of last year's finals with Radisson SAS, Dubai Deira Creek and The Westin Dubai finishing first runner-up and second runner-up respectively.
Radisson SAS was anchored on Manny Goyal, supported by Jorge Pula, Jojo, Danni, Ronald and Lucille, while The Westin Dubai relied on Mustafa Khan, Shifan, Madhu, Rodrigo, Hari and Elaine Sotto's captaincy to win.
On its maiden outing with the league, Renaissance Hotel Dubai earned the third runner-up spot with Chef Andreas Kurfurst taking care of scoring duties and teammates Anton, Chadi, Ayman, Raj and Simone providing the necessary support.
The Hoteliers' League 2008 that was held from March until earlier this week attracted some of the top hotels from Dubai.
