Event attracts top competition where Taryam and Dahi also excel
Al Ain: Shaikha Latifa Al Maktoum stole the show at the Al Ain showjumping competition which concluded on Saturday.
The event was organised by the equestrian department under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammad Bin Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Finance Department and Chairman of The Palm Sports Resort. It was held at Palm Sports Resort with the collaboration of the UAE Equestrian Federation.
Over 140 riders took part in three championship groups while 170 more riders were also seen in action in the other classes.
Abdullah Al Mulla, Abdullah Al Za'abi, Sultan Al Qasimi, Abdul Razzaq Al Marzouqi, Mohammad El Fituri Nemri, Hamad Mohammad, Abdullah Al Nuami and Badr Wasak topped in Class 4.
Sarah Taryam won the trophy of the fifth group while Haytham Al Daheri came second. Ahmad Falknaz finished in third position and Aysha Al Shamsi took fourth place. Other places were won by Mohammad Al Rumaithi and Mohammad Al Nakhi.
Saif Dahi received the trophy after winning the sixth class (B2) competition followed by Hamad Al Kerbi, Ali Al Kumitli and Pierre Lafargue.
The sixth competition (6 C1), was won by Haitam Al Daheri who won the first place followed by Mohammad Shafi Waseem Shamdeen in the second position, Jenny Balac, Mohammad Al Nakhi, Abdul Rahman Al Abdouli Yousuf Al Refai, Ali Al Nuaimi and Abdul Rahman Ameen.
Shaikha Latifa Al Maktoum collected the trophy after winning first place in Class 7 A2 and Khalid Al Junaibi took second place while Shaikh Rashid Al Maktoum won the third position. Other places were won also by Shaikha Latifa Al Maktoum, Rashid Al Hosani and Lena Timm. In Class 7 B1, Hamad Al Kerbi emerged first and Nadia Taryam and Hamad Al Kerbi came in the second and third places respectively.
