Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development and Chairman of the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, on Thursday received at his palace, the visiting Kuwaiti delegation of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS).
The Kuwaiti delegation included Acting Chairman of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS) Sami Fahad Al Ebrahim and other officials in the authority.
Shaikh Nahyan exchanged views with the delegation on sports and its importance for youth in particular, in addition to its physical, health, psychological and mental benefits.
Shaikh Nahyan affirmed the importance of securing modern sports facilities for sportspersons so as to build strong bodies and active minds. He added that the wise leadership has guaranteed various world-class sports institutions and provided support for hosting international championships as well as encouraging youth to enrol in sports and competitions.
On his part, Sami Fahad Al Ebrahim hailed the state-of-the art sports facilities that he has visited in Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
