Mohammad attends 15th edition of Games

His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, arrived in Doha last evening to attend the 15th Asian Games.

Doha: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, arrived in Doha last evening to attend the 15th Asian Games.

General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also reached Qatar last evening to be present at the Games.

Both were received upon their arrival at the Doha International Airport by Shaikh Abdul Rahman Al Thani, Qatari Minister for Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, and a number of other prominent officials.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Palestinian Prime Minister Esmail Haniyah were among other Middle East leaders at the opening ceremony, Qatar's official news agency said.

Syrian President Bashar Assad, Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Kuwait's Prime Minister Nasser Al Hamad Al Sabah were also among the other leaders who arrived in the Gulf country.
