The former made it to the finish line at top speed leading by a few inches ahead of Al Qadri Group. Skippered by Saif Khalaf Al Matri, Matla'a rowed furiously right from the flag off and it was a delight to see them cruise on. Al Qadri Group followed behind in second place with the third yet to be decided as there appeared to be some confusion over the winner.
In the second race, Al Qasimi had the leading edge as they had a good lead from the start and maintained their steady pace to the end taking a first at the podium.
"I was sure from the start that we would win," said Humaid Faras Humaid of Al Matla'a.
