Le Meridien Mina Seyahi dominated the Dubai Summer Surprises Sportzone events winning the inter-Hotel football and volleyball titles.

Dubai: Le Meridien Mina Seyahi dominated the Dubai Summer Surprises Sportzone events winning the inter-Hotel football and volleyball titles.

The Sportzone held at the Events Arena Dulsco Village and organised by Gulf International Promotions as part of the Dubai Summer Surprises saw some exciting games on the final day.

In the Inter-Hotel football final the Mina Seyahi team, led by player of the tournament Housinne Boulzargue, managed to get the better of a strong Le Royal Meridien team 3-2.

Xavier Fernandes gave the Royal Meridien team the lead in the very third minute of the game only to see an equaliser by Omar Fadil two minutes later.

Mussad Salem made it two one in Mina Seyahi's favour to lead at half time.

On resumption John Dias equalised for the Royal Meridian team. Player of the tournament Houssine dribbled past two players to set up Omar Fadil to score the winner and lift the title in front of a large crowd.

In an earlier game Le Meridien Dubai defeated Kempinski (MOE) 5-2 to take the third place trophy.
