Hesham trounces Ahmad to enter semifinals

Abu Dhabi: Top seed Hesham Hassan trounced Moen Ahmad 3-0 to take his place in the Division 1 semifinals of the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Squash Open, being played here at the Sheraton Hotel and Resort courts.

Hesham won 15-9 15-5 15-3 and now awaits the winner of the other quarterfinal clash.

In the Division 1 Plate event, Rami Al Borai scored a 15-12, 15-7, 15-13 first round win over Rocky Fernandes while Sami Ayoubi rallied to beat John van Hoogestraten 8-15, 15-7, 15-12, 15-12.

In Division II action, Sa'ad Zaher and Mohammad Kheer were involved in a thriller which the former won 4-15, 15-5, 12-15, 15-5 and 15-6.
