Hamdan orders increase in cash awards

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, ordered an increase in cash rewards to the Dubai clubs who have won local championships, starting with this season.

Dubai: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council and Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, ordered an increase in cash rewards to the Dubai clubs who have won local championships, starting with this season. The rewards will be increased from Dh5.5 million to Dh9.9 million.

This increase in awards comes as a gesture from Shaikh Hamdan to step up their excellent performance to top levels. It is also aimed to uplift the level of sports in Dubai and the UAE as a whole.

Encouragement

On the individual level, the increase will also give the players the necessary boost and incentive to win and encourage players them to achieve excellence.

In accordance with the increase ordered by Shaikh Hamdan and announced by Dubai's Sports Council yesterday, the increase of winners' awards in football will be, from Dh1.5 million to Dh3 million and the President's Cup from Dh1 million to Dh2 million, which add up to a total of Dh5 million for the two prizes.
