Dubai: The Dubai Sports Council (DSC) is welcoming registrations for the second Women’s Bowling Tournament that is scheduled to begin at the Dubai Bowling Centre, Al Mamzar, on November 22.

The tournament, which is held under the auspices of the DSC, seeks to attract women bowlers of all nationalities from all governmental and semi-governmental departments within the Emirate.

Matches will be held daily from 10.30am to 2.30pm and participants will either take part in the teams category or as individuals. Each department will be allowed to participate with four women in the teams category and four in the individual.

The inaugural edition last year attracted 52 women from ten government entities.

“The tournament is part of DSC’s strategic plan 2015, which aims to provide a competitive atmosphere for exercise in new sports activities. The event will enhance the profile of women’s sport in Dubai,” said Fawziya Fraidoon, Head of the Organising Committee.

The last day for entries is November 16, which can be sent to women@dubaisc.ae
