Dubai: Dubai Duty Free (DDF) emerged winners in the Dulsco Sports Festival Corporate Volleyball Tournament organised by Dulsco Sports Club.
The tournament was held to coincide with the Dubai Shopping Festival at the Dulsco Sports Complex in Al Quoz last week.
In an exciting final, Dubai Duty Free defeated Emirates Airline in straight sets 25-20, 25-21 to win the title.
Earlier, en route to the final, Dubai Duty Free defeated ETA Ascon 25-10, 25-11 in the semifinals while Emirates Airline got the better of Dubai Dry Dock 25-22, 25-16.
In the final, captain Mohiddin, Saidu Sudheer and Binu Mathai displayed a superb attacking game, while Marlon Kustec and Marlo Da Silva played well for Emirates Airline.
ETA Ascon got the better of Dubai Dry Docks to clinch the third spot.
Hosts Duslco fielded two teams, while Ducab was the last team in the competition.

Best Booster: Binu Mathai (DDF); Best Spiker: Marlo Da Silva; Best Disciplined Team: Dubai Dry Docks. Third place: ETA Ascon.
