The Dubai Speed Club, the first club of its kind dedicated to speed-sports, will conduct the Dubai Jetski Marathon during the 2005 Dubai Shopping Festival.
The event to be held over a 58-km course across four emirates is scheduled to be held on January 27.
The race will start at Umm Al Quwain, run through the waters of Ajman and Sharjah and finish in Dubai.
"It's a unique jetski race that is open to teams of one to four drivers each," said DSC Technical Coordinator Hamoud Al Jabri.
"We will offer trophies, gold medals and cash prizes to all the winners.
"This race is a prelude to a much bigger marathon that we plan to stage across the seven emirates in the UAE," added Al Jabri.
