The 3rd Series of the UAE National Sailing Championship was held at the Jebel Ali Sailing Club (JASC) over two days on the weekend.

It was the first time that the Series was organised by JASC with the help of DIMC under the UIM Sports Federation.

Two races were held on Thursday and the remaining three were held on Friday. Weather conditions were ideal and favorable for an event of this magnitude. In all 160 competitors took to the waters and displayed their skills.

In the Laser Standard category, Adam Cockerill of JASC shone when he took the first position in the overall standings followed by team mates Dan Kilsby and Abdellah Mubarek.

Adel Khalid (DIMC) retained his first position followed by Amar (Emirates Heritage Club - EHC) and Saood (DIMC) all from the Laser 4.7 category.

In the Laser Radial, DIMC's Eve rinsley secured her first position followed by Naser Omrani (EHC) and Simon Keen (JASC).

The Optimist Junior's saw Saeed Saleem (EHC) stand out followed by Frederick Jacobs (DIMC) and Taher Adel (DIMC).

In the Optimist category DIMC's Omar Shaeen, Jassin Ehab and Hakeem Dasmal made their club proud securing the first three positions respectively.

It was a great day for JASC when its members Issac Hook, Justin Walsh and Marcus O'Connell secured the first three positions respectively in the Topper Junior category.

JASC had another win with Ben Kilsby, Ben Butler and Paul Castle securing the first three positions in the Topper category.

The Big cats saw again three JASC members take the first three positions in Ro Weight, John Howard and Ramsey Assal while the Small Cats made JASC proud when Andre Grininger, Glyn Kilsby and Brian Hillesdon secured the spots as the first three.

The prize distribution was held at JASC and the 4th series will be held in Abu Dhabi on April 22-23 followed by the finals at DIMC in June.
