Abu Dhabi: The Club Greens coasted to another facile win to stay top of the Abu Dhabi Squash League while Adco-One moved up to second place.

After action in the fifth round of the 15-team league, Club Greens scored a 20-2 win over Gasco and took their tally to 84 points.

However the result of round five came when Adco-One overcame Sheraton 18-7 and leap-frogged three places to take the second spot.

Adco-One's Iqbal Khan and Ali Khan gave them a perfect start with straight game victories over Jamal Boshor and Stelios Papadapoulos respectively.

Those two wins gave them an 8-0 lead and Danish Akhtar won his match against Raouf Eissawi 3-1.

Faris Azzawi also won his match for Adco-One when he defeated Andre Al Ghawi 3-2 in a close encounter while the only defeat came when Sa'ad Zaher went down to Shuan Rose 2-3.

Club Blues, who were in second place before Adco-One moved up, dropped one place to third following their 15-11 defeat to Golf Club.

According to a League press release, Mohsin Moosa of Golf Club scored a 3-1 win over Hisham Fergani in the top of the order and Mike Dravitzki registered a 3-2 win over Richard Bullen.

The Blues fought back through John van Hoogstraaten who beat Atiq Khan 3-2 and Phi Lee beat Karl Geisberger 3-1, but Richard Harris went down in straight games to Noel Abedroth and that proved decisive.

In other matches, Fertil beat Adgas 17-5, Adco-2 beat Adma-Opco-1 13-8, Beach Rotana defeated Zadco 20-4 and Petroleum Institute received a walkover from Adma-2.
