Calgary turn flaming hot with winning streak
Kiprusoff makes 22 saves in win over Predators
Nashville: The Calgary Flames roared to a 5-0 victory over the Nashville Predators on Monday to continue their incredible run of success away from home.
Miikka Kiprusoff made 22 saves and the Northwest Division-leading Flames got five goals from as many different players as they improved to 10-1-3 on the road.
"You have to trust your teammates that they are going to do their jobs," Calgary defenceman Adam Pardy said.
"With Miikka behind us we are pretty confident standing up, forcing teams to dump pucks, staying up on the rush and not allowing the other team too much time to make plays."
Captain Jarome Iginla notched his 17th goal of the season while David Moss, Nigel Dawes, Pardy and Curtis Glencross also contributed scores in the team's fourth straight win.
The Predators, who entered the contest looking for their ninth win in 10 home games, continued their trend of losing to the Flames (17-6-3) and have now dropped eight of the last ten to their Canadian opponents.
Onslaught
Goaltender Pekka Rinne made 25 saves but could not stop the onslaught from the red hot Flames.
After a scoreless first period, Moss gave Calgary the lead 92 seconds into the second on a breakaway. Dawes made it 2-0 three minutes later and the visitors tacked on three more in the final period.
