Dubai: A 34-member squad from the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) is taking part in Sympulse 2012, the annual international sports and entertainment festival organised by the Symbiosis Centre for Management, Pune, India, from January 30 to February 3.
The UOWD students will be taking part in basketball, volleyball, throwball and street football. In addition, Nitesh Lakhani, an upcoming DJ, will be competing in the War of DJs competition.
Sympulse is a pan-global festival, with participants coming from around the world.
"This is the second time that UOWD sports teams are travelling abroad to participate in an international event, having put up stellar performances at the UAE level for several years," said Franky Barretto, Manager, Student Services, UOWD.
