Eventing is a more complete discipline of horse-sport, involving all aspects of equestrian. The competition lasts several days and is divided into three stages: dressage, jumping and cross-country (a course of 30 to 40 jumps over obstacles of different types, with small lakes and stone hurdles and a maximum limit of time).

It is one of the few events where men and women compete against each other.

The winner is the rider or team which have accumulated the fewest faults at the end of the three parts of the competition.
