Manama: Grand Prix 2 Team Malaysia QI-MeritusMahara.com and supporters recently gave the crowds a good show at the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC) in the lead-up to the coming weekend's GP2 and F1 races.

After the recent 2010 GP2 Asia Series held at BIC, Team Malaysia QI-MeritusMahara.com is in fourth position of the championship. Italian team driver Luca Filippi is fourth with 16 points and American team mate Alexander Rossi with 10 points is seventh.

Filippi had an extremely successful race on February 26, taking the second place on the podium, although the 18-year-old teammate, Rossi, faced mixed fortunes when his car was retired for safety reasons.

Filippi ended in the 18th position on the second day, while Rossi faced more bad luck when he had to retire early due to a collision with another car. This is the third year since inception of the GP2 Asia Racing Series that the QuestNet sponsored team was competing.

The third round of races was supported by hundreds of QuestNet fans.

Although these supporters' favourite team had to brace unforeseen events their spirits remained at full throttle and could be heard and seen all around BIC.
