Dubai: Huraiz Bin Huraiz, Race Director of Dubai Tour, has stressed on the importance of showcasing Dubai in its entirety, as it is the major landmarks that will give the world a true essence of the city.

“Every year we try to emphasise on new landmarks during the Dubai Tour and for the next edition our focus will be on Rashid Port, the Union House and the Dubai Canal. The Canal is a new addition to the Dubai landscape, but the Union House and Port Rashid have been part of Dubai since a long time and both areas are undergoing changes. We feel the need to record these changes and show them to the world,” Bin Huraiz told Gulf News.

“My favourite stage is always the final one as it moves through our heritage sites of Old Dubai. Not only is this a very fast stage, it is also something that is close to our hearts. There is a lot of attachment. In the future Port Rashid is going through an upgrade where there will be a lot of changes while making it a major tourism destination in Dubai. The metamorphosis is already happening and the Dubai Tour is one way of documenting the present,” he said.
