The UAE continued topping the Third Arab Bowling Championships in Amman, Jordan, after they added the fifth medal to their tally.

UAE trio Sayed Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Hussain Al Suwaidi and Mahmoud Al Attar clinched the bronze medal in the Triple tournament with 3690 points.

Shaker Ali, Sultan Al Marzouqi and Naif Oqab finished fifth with 3624 points.

Kuwaiti trio Fadhel Al Mousawi, Mohammad Al Rijaiby and Khalid Al Diyoubin won the gold medal with 3833 points.

Bahrain impressive

Bahrain trio Abdul Aziz Jafar, Mohammad Al Shawish and Abdullah Al Mastour finished second to win silver with 3774 points.

The tournament witnessed the participation of nine Arab countries represented by 54 bowlers. The countries are UAE, Qatar, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Iraq, Egypt, Kuwait and hosts Jordan. UAE are topping the table with five medals, one gold scored by Shaker Ali in the singles.

The first silver was won by Mahmoud Al Attar in singles and the second silver was won in the doubles by Sultan Al Marzouqi and Sayed Ebrahim Al Hashimy.

The first bronze was won by Hussain Al Suwaidi and Mahmoud Al Attar in the doubles. The second bronze medal was clinched in the triple.

UAE's Shaker Ali tops individual standing with 3942 points. If he continues the leadership, he will clinch another gold for the UAE.
